Who We Are

Founded in 2017, Jump LDN is a London based grassroots initiative dedicated to promoting Double Dutch Skipping as a tool for empowerment, connection, and positive community development.

We celebrate the long history of Double Dutch skipping, which has been used since the 1970s in America as a tool for promoting community health and wellbeing.  

Rooted in the cultural vibrancy of London and inspired by the global Double Dutch movement, we combine physical activity with coaching, creativity and collective joy.

Our mission is to empower people through movement — building confidence, improving well-being, and fostering meaningful connections in underrepresented communities by introducing people to the many benefits Double Dutch skipping has to offer through high quality, inclusive Double Dutch fitness workshops and programmes.

We are a growing team of coaches, artists, youth workers, and community developers with a shared passion for inclusive, creative expression through physical activity.

Why Double Dutch?

Double Dutch can be used as a tool that teaches leadership and social skills such as communication, teamwork, and resilience.

It is a simple, low cost & practical sport, you only need a rope and some space!

It can prevent barriers starting in primary school by providing an alternative to competitive mainstream sports.

It promotes living an active lifestyle and improves cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, stamina levels, flexibility, and coordination.

 Provides positive role models and peers, an increased opportunity at experiencing a safe, positive environment for people to grow, learn and develop their creativity.

 Double Dutch is a powerful tool for tapping into self-esteem through an easy-to-learn skill that encourages mental and physical development.
